In November Cache County residents will have the opportunity to decide if the Cache County RAPZ Tax should be renewed. Each year RAPZ tax funding is used to benefit and enhance communities in Cache County by supporting cultural events and development of parks and recreational facilities. The RAPZ tax is generated from 0.1% sales tax (one penny for every ten dollars spent) and is distributed based on the merit and benefit of proposed projects.

Over the past several years the citizens of Wellsville have received nearly $500,000 in RPAZ tax funding. This funding has been used for a variety of important projects including: the rodeo arena, playgrounds, sports fields, park upgrades, walking trails, and recreation property acquistion. Using the RAPZ tax funds has also allowed Wellsville City to receive several significant matching grants from the State of Utah. Thanks for your careful consideration of this important matter.
