All interested young women between the ages of 12-17 are invited to serve their community as a Wellsville City Princess. Applicants must be available to ride the city’s float in approximately 12 community parades during the summer months. Attendance at the Founder’s Day Sunday evening program is also required. Baseball/softball sign-ups will take place on Thursday, March 31st from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 2nd from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Baseball/softball signups will be held in the Wellsville City Fire Station. There will be a late fee of $20.00 for any registrations turned in after April 2. Registrations will be accepted up to April 16th. Registration forms may be obtained on the city website (www.wellsvillecity.com) or at the city office. If you have any questions please contact Diane Roundy at 770-1967 or Darin Fristrup at 245-4249.

All dogs are required to be licensed whether they are indoor or outdoor pets. License fees are $5 for dogs that are spayed/neutered, or $10 for dogs that are unaltered. You must provide a spaying/neutering certificate to purchase the $5 license. Proof of a current rabies shot, valid for the entire year of 2011, must also be provided. AFTER MARCH 31ST 2011 THE FEES FOR DOG TAGS WILL TRIPLE. If you own three or more dogs, please contact the city office to get approval for a kennel license.

Residents of Wellsville are invited to attend any one of three public meetings March 15 and 16 to help identify issues and ideas to be considered as part of creating the Cache Valley South Corridor Development Plan. This plan is a cooperative effort between Cache County, Logan City, Wellsville City, Nibley City, Utah State University, Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), and is intended to create a comprehensive development vision for private land along U.S. Highway 89/91 from the mouth of Wellsville Canyon North through South Logan.
