The City Council encourages residents to be aware of Wellsville City code 6-2-4G which states:

It is unlawful for any person to park or leave standing on any public road, street, alley or city property any motor vehicle, machinery, implement, equipment or other personal property of any kind for twenty-four (24) or more consectutive hours, and any vehicle, machinery, implement, equipment or other personal property so parked and left standing may be impounded or removed by the chief of police or other properly authorized police officer of the city. The cost for impoundment and removal shall be charged to the owner or any person who claims the impounded item.In addition, we are nearing the time when snow removal will be required. As a reminder:

City code 6-2-4H prohibits parking on city streets between the hours of midnight and 8:00 a.m. from November 1 through April 30th. Automobiles, boats, campers, trailers, construction equipment, etc. are not to be parked on the streets. Emergency vehicles are permitted to park on the street.

Allvehicles, boats, campers, trailers, construction equipment, etc. must be removed off the city right-of-ways. Citations will be issued for those not in compliance.

Garbage cans must be placed 3 feet off the asphalt so snow plows can remove snow more efficiently. There is also a problem with residents pushing snow across the street, and leaving it in the road. The snow left in the street or piled along the street shoulder is very difficult for the snow plows to remove, and is causing extensive damage to the city plows. The snow plow operators have been instucted not to push these piles of snow that have been left in the road. This will result in traffic being narrowed to one lane in some areas. Your cooperation in this manner is greatly appreciated.
