FYI – Hyrum Library
Attention Wellsville Resdients: Have you visited the beautiful new library in Hyrum lately? Do you have a library card? We are fortunate to have a well-stocked modern library so close. Thanks to our Wellsville City mayor and city council for the financial investment that allows Wellsville residents to use the library free of charge. What a great deal in tough financial times!
The Hyrum Library has almost 60,000 items available to check out including adult and children’s books, videos, DVD’s, CD’s, audio books and magazines. There are 16 computers with internet access available to the public as well as study rooms for group or individual use. The library has a kitchen/eating area which makes a great book club or meeting place. They recently added a new copy center. There is a monthly Story Time available for younger children and a fantastic reading program. The staff is friendly and helpful and the library clean and accessable. Operating hours are 12 noon to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 2 – 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
Donations to the library are always appreciated and bricks with personalized individual/family/business messages are still available to buy. If you have questions contact the library at 245-6411 or Wellsville resident and library board member Shannon Horrocks at 753-6996. Books can broaden minds and futures and reading increases imagination and literacy. Sign up for a library card and visit the Hyrum Library today!
