Wellsville City will provide for early voting for the September 15, 2009 Primary Election as follows:
August 31, 2009 through September 3, 2009 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
September 8, 2009 through September 11, 2009 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Voting will be done by use of the Absentee Ballot available at the Wellsville City Offices at 75 East Main in Wellsville.

New for Founders’ Day this year is the ‘Wellsville Stampede’, sanctioned by the Intermountain Professional Rodeo Association. Taking place on Friday September 4 and Saturday September 5, the action will start at 7:00 pm on both nights. This will be the first ever semi-professional rodeo held in Wellsville. In addition, the long-standing ‘Mt. Sterling Stampede’ (aka ‘The Little Buckaroo Rodeo’) will be held on Monday evening September 7. Both rodeos will be held at the Wellsville Arena, next to the gravel pit on the west side of Wellsville. Tickets for ‘The Wellsville Stampede’ can be purchased in advance at Peterson’s Country Store (on Highway 89/91 in Nibley) and at the Wellsville City Offices. Founders’ Day is coming!!! Here is some preliminary information.
The Wellsville Founders Day Softball Tournament – deadline for team signup is August 19 with games starting Aug 24 and runring through Labor Day. Cost is $150 dollars (men’s & co-ed divisions) – contact (Jon Tenhoeve@ 435-757-9972)
Wellsville Founders’ Day is signing up booth vendors for our Sept 7 Celebration. Download the application here or call (245-0171). Applications must be received by August 27.
You can pre-register for the 5k and 10k races until August 31 at the City Offices (75 East Main). Cost is $8 for pre-registration or $10 on race day (entries close 1 hour before race time). For more information, contact Juantita Malm (245-7831).
If you would like to have an entry in the Wellsville Founders’ Day Parade (considered by many to be the best parade in Cache Valley) contact Margo Pierce (245-4735) before August 21.
Preregistration is required for the 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament. Deadline is September 4. Cost is $20 per team. Signup at the City Offices.

The annual Photography Exhibit is an opportunity for both amateur and professional photographers (of all skill levels) to display their favorites photographs. For more information contact John Poppleton at 245-6040.
Tickets for the annual Quilt Drawing for a beautiful quilt made and donated by Rena Murray and her family are available in advance at the City Offices, and at the booth on Founders’ Day. Don’t miss out on this opportunity.

“Citizens for Wellsville” is offering an opportunity for city residents to meet and hear the views of the candidates running for Mayor and City Council in Wellsville. This event will take place in the gymnasium at Willow Valley Middle School, 525 North 200 West, on Thursday September 10th, from 7 – 9 p.m. This is a great opportunity for Wellsville City residents to become both informed and involved.
