Planning Commission Changes

After serving on the Planning Commission for over 4 years Richard Rawlinson choose not to seek reappointment. At a recent City Council meeting, Mayor Ruth Maughan nominated and the Council approved John Spence to serve as the newest member of the Commission. This is John Spence’s second appointment to the Planning Commission. He served a few years ago but resigned because of some health issues. He now feels those problems are behind him and is anxious to serve the community again. Mayor Maughan expressed her appreciation and the gratitude for the time and diligence that Richard Rawlinson brought to the Commission during his tenure.

Member of the Planning Commission serve without commensationand are entrusted with ensuring that the zoning ordinances of the city are met.
